REGULATION

1 -Presentation

1.1 - The First Zouk and Lambada Championship of Rio of Janeiro will be happening on the 7th and 9th of january of 2010 during the II International Zouk and Lambada Congress of Rio of January.

2 - Of the inscriptions

2.1 - The inscriptions are already opened and divided in two categories: amateur and professional.
2.2 - An enrolment fee will be collected. The value for each couple is R$ 50,00.
2.3 - The couple must fill out the token of inscription contained in the site.
2.4 - To end the inscription the couple must effectuate the payment and send the receipt of the deposit for This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
2.5 - Least age for participation: 15 years of age.
2.6 - In case of giving up the couple will not be compensated for the value of the inscription.

3 - Of the Stages

3.1 - First Stage

3.1.1 - The first stage will be eliminatory happening in january 7th of 2010 at 23:00. The couples will have to be in the place of the event an hour before the beginning of the batteries.
3.1.2 - The batteries will be composed from 3 to 4 couples depending on the number of registered.
3.1.3 - The couples that will make part of each battery will participate of a draw that will happen in the beginning of the event.
3.1.4 - The dance of this stage will be improvised.
3.1.5 - The songs will be selected by the organization and drawn for the batteries.
3.1.6 - The duration of each battery will be of at most 4 minutes being half a slow song and the other half a quick song.

3.2 - Second Stage

3.2.1 - The second stage will be the final of the championship to happen in january 9th of 2010 at 23:00. The couples will have to be in the place of the event an hour before the beginning of the event.
3.2.2 - 6 couples will be classified for this stage.
3.2.3 - Each couple will show up individually dancing a choreography of at most 2 minutes mounted by the couple itself.

4 - Of the classification and Criterion of Judgement

4.1 - In the eliminatory stage will be classified for the final the 6 couples (of each category) that reach the 6 highest notes .These notes will be accumulative for end.

4.2 - The jurors will attribute notes from zero to ten in the two stages, with the possibility of tenth ones. For example: 8,2,9,5...
4.3 - From zeros to ten will be given notes for the next queries:

4.3.1 - Musicality and Rhythm
4.3.2 - Creativity
4.3.3 - Harmony
4.3.4 - Use of the Space
4.3.5 - Complexity
4.3.6 - Clothes
4.3.7 - Charisma
4.3.8 - Posture

4.4 - The sum of all the queries of all the jurors will be the final note of each couple in the eliminatory stage.
4.5 - The criterion of judgement will be the same thing for the final one, being that the final note of this stage will be added to the note of the eliminatory stage and when an average was taken away. The highest average gains the First Place, the second highest note, the Second Place and the third highest note, the Third Place.

5 - Of the jury

5.1 – The jury will be composed by representatives of several countries, including Brazil.

6 - Of the Reward

6.1 – Amateur Category
1 ° place – R$ 1000,00 + toasts of the sponsor + trophies
2 ° place – lodgings + toasts of the sponsor + trophies
3 ° place – Kits dvd’s + cd’s + t-shirts + toasts of the sponsor + trophies

6.2 - Professional category
1 ° place – R$ 1000,00 + toasts of the sponsor + trophies
2 ° place – lodgings + toasts of the sponsor + trophies
3 ° place – Kits dvd’s + cd’s + t-shirts + toasts of the sponsor + trophies

6.3 - The prizes will be handed immediately after the end of final stage.

7 - Final considerations

7.1 - The judging and organizing commission will not admit any type of challenge to the present regulation.
7.2 - All the registered couples are subject to the rules of this regulation
7.3 - The organizing commission will not take responsibility for any accident that could take place during the event.
7.4 -Any breach to this regulation will tease in the disqualification of the couple.
7.5 - The filming of the event will be allowed, since the space been intended for the couples is respected.
7.6 - The couples will accept to give up his images for the organizing commission in eventual spreads.
